{Musings} Thankful
Posted on | November 26, 2009 | No Comments

Every year, as Thanksgiving rolls around I am reminded again of how incredibly blessed I am. So, this year I will note the things that I am thankful for (it’s not a full list, but it’s an growing list) and I encourage you to do the same — jot it down in a notebook, on a sheet of paper and frame it, write a note to someone who you have felt thankful for or make it public so that it is a daily reminder of the positive and not the negative. I believe in the power of a simple expression of gratitude and here are my starting notes of gratitude…

I’m thankful…
…for the wonderful friends that I have made over the years — both online and offline.
…that I am able to do what I love and for the honor of being recognized & appreciated for it. It makes me know that I am on the right path.
…for the supportive group of fellow paper peeps who have become valuable friends over the years.
…for an incredible supportive family and truly good friends. They can never be replaced!
…for the privilege of being a wife, a mother and a daughter to the most amazingly patient husband, wildly active (and cheerful) son and supportive parents.
…and blessed for being able to harness the incredible natural high of a new idea hatched inside my little head and bring it to fruition.
…for my parents, who have always had faith in me, regardless of whether they understood what I did for a living or not.
…for the little lady growing inside me, who I cannot wait to meet in a couple of months (if not sooner)!
And finally…
…for the high school yearbook advisor who introduced me to the world of design (Thanks, Mr. Ender — wherever you are), recognized a diamond in the rough at such a young age and nurture her growing passion for design that has not stop.
