Thank you for your outstanding invitation design work for the VIP fundraiser benefiting the new Almaden Library and Community Center this May. As a special events planner, it was a joy for me to work with true professionals in terms of both design expertise and project management skills. Every option that you custom created for the soirée, from the witty construction-themed save-the-date notices, to the show-stopper invitations, to the unique programs, was superb! It really produced the community buzz that set the tone for a highly successful event. We were able to attract an extremely generous VIP group that included many local business leaders, community socialites, and influential city politicians, including the Chief of Police, President of the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, city councilmen and all of the mayoral candidates. In the end, the Advisory Council was able to raise more than $70,000 for the new center, $20,000 more than expected. The center’s goal is to be a vital part of the City of San José and enhance the lives of all community members. Fête’s design talent and valuable time on this project helped to make that goal a reality, and it will continue to make a difference. Everyone just loved our custom-made save-the-dates and our invitations! As you know, our engagement period was full of travels and other obligations, and we appreciated that you were more than willing to send proofs to three different states, even over holiday times and amid your own personal events (a new baby each in the 8 months that you worked with us!). You did an excellent job crafting an elegant and modern interpretation of the Art Deco theme that we wanted to use, as inspired by our reception venue. It was truly unique, understated and classic at the same time as it was deco and modern. It was also great to integrate San Francisco into the pieces - our guests really took notice of that and we think it influenced them to come from places like Europe and the East Coast. The stationery also influenced the cake, which just looked fabulous, and we'll send photos as soon as we have them. Those little extras - sending a copy of the motifs to the cake maker so she could replicate the design, or making several prototypes as we changed our minds many times - really made you a vendor of high service. We would recommend you highly to any couple looking for customized work for their own wedding. The service, designs, timeliness, and responsiveness could not have been better.
